flowerss… shoot’em all

Back in my country, when i see some nice flowers, i get the pleasure of shooting them with my sony H50. Doing macros and finding interesting composition with flowers..

Here are lots… no tons of fllowers.. I think im not being so happing seeing flowers now a days. though i like shoot them anytime.

A macro.. target was to keep the inside in good focus.

More of composition try. background is in special attention.. at least i think

Well… this is one of the 20-30 shots i tried to catch a bee on the flower and failed. They just don’t get focused when i do macro. Rather petals get all the attention. Hard time with beeeees :S, thought they are calm enough to try a lot of shots. and finally they get shot :D

This is a nice(?) photo with my weird finger. i thought my fingers are nice :p. But if i could take something tiny and colorful instead of finger, it would have been a really nice one. Coz it got an interesting background

This is what i call TONS of flowers…

What a doggy

What i see here is a lot is something i am afraid of much.. DOGS.. :-S. I don’t know why barking dogs pulls the heart out of me.. :(

But good thing is not many barking dogs here. In fact not any. I hardly heard dogs making sounds here :P. And people, they have tons of different types of dogs. Sometimes they are quite big… and again scary to me. I wish i could take snap of some of those but i was afraid.. :P

Some dogs they look more like some other creature. I’ve seen some which has a face like monkey, monkey-dog or mondog or dogenky??

And a big one…

Summer rain

Oh.. this week and the last one we are facing a sweet(?) warm weather. Norwegian like this part of summer very much. But as long as i keep sweating, i don’t enjoy this 30 degree or more.

Jobaer bro bought a DSLR today. So, we are much excited, trying this and that. Shooting at unusual things.. Suddenly it started raining, surprisingly it was heavy rain and thundering sometimes. We got a crazy idea… lets go in the rain. Me & Jobaer ran to street :)

Ouuuchh… it was like someone beating me with ice cold stick. We couldn’t go far. returned to base. mission aborted :P

Forest trip in Oslo Nordmark

Torstein, my boss offered me to join him in a forest trip. Oslo Nordmarka, a forest north  to Oslo city. We took subway to RomsÃ¥s. We reached a subway station that is inside a mountain, we could see the rocks inside.

We entered the forest, people from different places, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Canadian and ofcourse Norwegian :P. In the forest, it felt like i am in some forest in a mysterious island or Like tv series ‘Lost’. We were going uphill mostly & downhill sometimes.

After a hour walk we are near a very nice lake. We found a family. There camping beside the lake and fishing. I want to come here for something like that.

We keep walking & walking & walking.. My feet was hurting a little bit. But the place was so wonderful. I was enjoying a lot. We were looking for some cave. Its not so big. I thought it would be very big inside, dark passages. But its not. Or, may be those are inside water. Coz we see water at end of cave.

Well, i got some really nice macro shots this day.. im so happy :)

FK day 11,12 : School project

We were in teams to make some presentation for kids in local high school, presenting something interesting.. and i felt it a bit difficult to figure out what teenagers are interested in, while i am standing on a different age. Also in a different culture.. i’d say almost opposite culture :P

I don’t know why i had the idea that Norwegian teenagers would be very spontaneous, communicative and may be damn care. But when i went to the class i found they are not interested in answering or communicating to us. May be they are not comfortable in speaking English. When Per Einar & Turan were talking to them in Norwegian they started talking and answering..

It was fun being with teenagers. I felt like i miss those days with my friends. We all gathered chairs in middle of the class, and act like we are in a crowded bus in Mozambique.. we presented how peoples behavior in bus rides in Norway differs from other culture..

Students are budgeting for one month in context of poor country’s average salary and small size family. They have 6k NOK for a month. It was Per Einar who had the idea of such an activity. The idea was to let them think of how challenging is to maintain a family in some low paying country with an average salary.

When we are back from school, we are in the classroom again, evaluating ourselves and our team. And discussing what was everyone's role and how we did perform. So, i think. it was not about the school. It was a prototype of team work in multicultural environment. And to feel what are difficulties in working in such mixed environment.
